Job Summary:
As a Bat Fitting Specialist at Better Baseball, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the performance and experience of our customers by providing expert bat fitting services. You will assess players' needs, recommend the best equipment, and deliver exceptional player experience to ensure athletes find the perfect bat for their swing style.
Key Responsibilities:
Bat Fitting Consultation:
Conduct one-on-one consultations with customers to understand their playing style, preferences, and physical attributes. Utilize measuring tools and techniques to assess swing mechanics, height, weight, and grip size.
Product Knowledge:
Stay updated on the latest bat technologies, brands, and trends in the market. Provide detailed product information and comparisons to assist customers in making informed decisions.
Customer Engagement:
Create a welcoming and educational environment for players. Build strong relationships with players and their families, understanding their long-term needs and preferences.
Demonstrations and Trials:
Facilitate bat trials and demonstrations to help customers feel the difference between various models and sizes. Provide feedback and tips on swing mechanics and bat handling to enhance customer experience. Conducting in-depth swing analysis using advanced metrics and technology.
Sales Support:
Assist in inventory management and product displays. Meet or exceed sales goals through effective consultations and player follow-up.
Feedback and Improvement:
Gather player feedback to improve the fitting process and service offerings continuously. Collaborate with the management team to develop training resources and workshops.
Qualifications:
Passion for baseball and a deep understanding of bat mechanics and fitting principles. Previous experience in retail, sports sales, or coaching is a plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Knowledge of current bat regulations and standards (e.g., USABat, BBCOR) is preferred.
