Job Description
Overview Located on beautiful Lake Coeur d'Alene in the panhandle of Idaho, The Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course is one of the best conditioned golf courses in the country and home to the world's only moveable floating green. Established in 1991, our resort golf course is known for providing a relational, memorable golf experience with hospitality minded staff and a course design to ensure a fun round for all skill levels. With a healthy mix of day guests, resort guests, and members, we also host many different group events and tournaments throughout our 7-month golf season. Our number one priority is serving our guests. The Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf course is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional to continue to enhance our guests' day to day experience. This professional will be tasked with all duties related to pro shop operations including but not limited to: checking in guests, yield management of the tee sheet, merchandising, assisting with golf events, and assisting with group bookings. Working directly with the Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional, and 1 st Assistant Golf Professional, they will aid in providing a 5 star guest experience. Experience Required Class A PGA Professional or PGA Associate in good standing with the PGA Experience in guest service, hospitality, tournament operations, and merchandising Above average knowledge of golf, and golf equipment 2-3 years of experience in the golf business is preferred, but not required. Knowledge and experience operating POS applications. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience in OPERA is a plus. Any experience with tournament, scoring, and scheduling software such as Golf Genius, Event Pro 360, etc. Essential Responsibilities Under the direction of the Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional, and the 1 st Assistant Golf Professional, the assistant golf professional will help lead the pro shop operations effort to ensure a world class experience for our guests with a professional hospitality mindset. Must bring positive energy to work with our guests in the pro shop through the check-in and retail process Assist in management of the tee sheet Assist in tournament operations, billing, merchandising, scoring, enforcing policies, and servicing phone calls Assist in weekly events Assist in interdepartmental communications Lead in managing feedback from guests and employees Benefits Meal provided per 8 hour shift Uniforms provided
