Description of Job Duties Essential Functions:
Recruit academically and athletically capable student-athletes that mold the culture of NCC Tennis. Travel and contact prospective student-athletes at high school, USTA, and other tennis events. Assist in coaching at group practices, individual practices, and team matches and events. Perform racquet stringing and other minor court and facility maintenance. Do the job duties for this position have any potential exposure to student records? Yes Do the job duties for this position include any driving requirements? Yes Will this position be working with minors? Yes
Job Qualifications Required:
Accepted into a graduate program at North Central College. Experience playing or coaching tennis, or athletic administrative experience. Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification, or eligibility to become current. Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Preferred:
Experience in college athletics strongly preferred. Aspirations to a career in college coaching preferred. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record strongly preferred. Approximate number of work hours per week 20 hours per week during the academic year, excluding academic breaks New or Replacement?
