Job Description

Overview We are seeking an experienced, passionate Personal Trainer to join our specialty fitness team and help lead our company into its next phase of growth. We are currently opening a brand-new golf performance coaching facility right next to our established fitness center, and we anticipate a significant influx of golfers looking to improve their movement, power, and longevity in the game. At Old Port Fitness, we operate in a highly collaborative team environment. Clients are not siloed to individual coaches; they are clients of the facility, benefiting from the collective expertise of our entire staff. We specialize in helping people overcome pain from poor movement patterns and the physical stress of daily life. Because of our expansion, we are looking for a driven professional who can take over a roster of existing clients immediately and eventually progress into a management role. We strongly prefer candidates who are actively involved in golf (whether playing the sport or possessing TPI certification). If you are not yet TPI certified, we will provide the education and support for you to achieve it.
Duties & Responsibilities Seamless Transitions:
Take over and manage a roster of existing clients while actively onboarding new golfers drawn to our expansion.
Assess & Analyze:
Conduct initial fitness assessments to understand clients' movement patterns, physical capacity, and golf-specific goals.
Program Design:
Design customized, progressive workout programs tailored to individual needs within our facility's training philosophy.
Collaborative Coaching:
Work closely with multiple coaches and therapists on each client's programming.
Leadership & Growth:
Actively contribute to the growth of the business, taking on leadership responsibilities with the goal of transitioning into a management role.
Educate & Inspire:
Guide clients on the value of fitness, basic nutrition, and recovery practices so they can feel better and perform at their best.
Facility Care:
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized training environment across both the fitness and golf spaces.
Skills & Qualifications Experience:
Proven experience as a personal trainer or strength coach, with a strong desire to advance into management.
Golf Knowledge:
Active involvement in the game of golf is highly preferred. TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) certification is a massive plus, though we will help the right candidate achieve this later.
Technical Expertise:
Strong foundational knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and program design.
Team-First Mindset:
Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment where clients are shared and supported by the whole team.
Drive:
A self-starter with the initiative to grow our client base and step into a leadership position.
Communication:
Excellent interpersonal skills with a natural ability to motivate clients and collaborate with fellow staff.
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Benefits:
