Job Description

Overview The Head Golf Professional is responsible for the oversight and management of the day-to-day operations of the Golf Shop and Outside Services, while providing excellent member and guest experiences. Experience Required Knowledge of computers and POS system; must also be able to process daily closing procedures. Ability to coordinate small and large group events. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with members and guests. Must be able to multi-task with many interruptions. Must be able to work with little supervision and also be enthusiastic, self-motivated and a team player. Must be able to demonstrate and train staff with excellent customer service skills.
Working Environment/Physical Activities:
Must be able to perform a varied work schedule: nights, weekends and holidays are required. Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather may also be from extreme cold to extreme heat. May work near moving mechanical parts. Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
Education/Experience:
PGA Class A Member + Five years of experience working in a Golf Shop. Essential Responsibilities Manage the golf operations (Golf Shop and Outside Services). Lead the administration of the Golf Shop by preparing daily closing reports. Open and close the Golf Shop, including supervision of starting times and play on the course; assist with tournaments, enforcing golf rules and regulations; monitor the course to regulate pace of play and conduct of players. Supervisie and train all part-time staff working in the Golf Shop and bag room. Merchandising of Golf Shop to include displays, pricing and inventory. Conduct individual & group lessons. Conduct the Junior Golf program. Assist the General Manager in the organization and promotion of all member events.
