Job Description

Overview The Assistant Golf Profesional plays a key leadership role in the daily operation, growth, and success of The Links at Mulberry Hill. This position is responsible for overseeing golf operations, tournament administration, player development programs, golf shop management, staff leadership, and customer experience initiatives. The ideal candidate is energetic, customer-focused, highly organized, and passionate about growing the game of golf. Essential Responsibilities Operations Manage daily golf operations and ensure exceptional service for members and guests. Oversee tee sheet management, customer check-in, and point-of-sale transactions. Monitor pace of play and maintain a positive on-course experience. Supervise golf cart operations, driving range, and practice facilities. Maintain

handicap records and assist golfers with handicap services. Serve as Manager-on-Duty for golf operations. Tournament & Event Management Plan, organize, promote, and execute tournaments, leagues, outings, and member events. Prepare tournament materials, scorecards, pairings, and results. Utilize Golf Genius or similar software for tournament administration. Grow outside tournaments, charity outings, and corporate events. Player Development & Instruction Conduct private lessons, clinics, and group instruction. Develop and lead junior golf programs. Create beginner and player development programs designed to increase participation. Serve as an ambassador for growing the game throughout Northeastern North Carolina. Golf Shop & Merchandising Manage purchasing, merchandising, and inventory control. Maintain attractive retail displays and promote golf shop sales. Identify new merchandise and retail opportunities that enhance profitability. Staff Leadership Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise golf operations staff. Lead by example in providing exceptional customer service. Foster a positive and professional team culture. Membership Growth & Customer Experience Support membership recruitment and retention initiatives. Promote leagues, events, instructional programs, and club activities. Assist with marketing, social media content, and community outreach efforts.
