Working Title Director of Player Personnel, Women's Basketball External Link to Posting https://jobs.uncw.edu/postings/40690 Vacancy Number E1606 Position Number 2200 Location of Workplace Main UNCW Campus Home Department Athletics - 25900 Division Chancellor - 25 Division Brief Summary of Work for this Position The Director of Player Personnel works in coordination with the Director of Basketball Operations and the Head Coach to oversee and manage the internal needs and services of student-athletes. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience Three years of experience in collegiate athletics, student athlete development. Knowledge of NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities. Understanding of student-athlete development principles, including leadership, personal growth, mental wellness, career readiness, and life skills programming. Knowledge of intercollegiate athletics, preferably at the NCAA Division I level. Familiarity with academic support services, campus resources, and student success initiatives. Understanding of recruiting and retention strategies within a collegiate athletics environment. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to effectively engage student-athletes, coaches, administrators, alumni, and community partners. Required Certifications or Licensures Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit The UNCW Department of Athletics sponsors 19 varsity sports and competes in the NCAA Division I as a member of the Coastal Athletic Association.
