Assistant Golf Professional Cobblestone Creek Country Club - 2.5 Township of Lawrence, NJ Job Details $178.57 - $250.00 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Uniform allowance Qualifications Customer communication Outdoor work In-person customer service Driver's License Full Job Description Job Summary (Essential Functions) Assists the Director of Golf and Golf Operations Team in all aspects of daily golf operations including member services, tournament administration, merchandising, instruction, club fitting, outside operations, and special events while delivering exceptional service to members and guests. Job Tasks/Duties Assist with daily Golf Shop operations Coordinate and administer tournaments and club events Prepare tournament materials, pairings, scorecards and cart assignments Operate and manage Golf Genius tournament software Assist with merchandising and retail operations Provide exceptional service to members and guests Assist with club fitting programs and equipment demonstrations Provide individual and group golf instruction Participate in junior golf programming and leadership activities Assist with practice facility operations and maintenance Assist with golf cart fleet management and staging Play golf with members and participate in club events Support outside golf operations when needed Maintain a clean, organized and professional Golf Shop environment Attend golf staff meetings and assist with special projects Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Golf Physical Demands and Work Environment Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, climbing, reaching and pulling Continuous repetitive motions Ability to lift and move golf equipment and merchandise Ability to work outdoors for extended periods Must be able to perform duties in hot, cold, humid, rainy and other seasonal weather conditions Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced golf operations environment Licenses and Special Requirements PGA Associate or PGA Membership preferred Valid driver's license Ability to work weekends, holidays and extended seasonal hours Strong customer service and communication skills Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations Thorough knowledge of golf operations and private club procedures Fully knowledgeable of Golf Shop opening and closing procedures Familiarity with all tournament operations including: Golf Genius software Scorecard preparation Golf cart staging Proximity contests Tournament billing and administration Ability to assist with club fitting and instructional programs Demonstrates leadership and professionalism Maintains current knowledge of club activities and events Maintains personal playing proficiency and knowledge of the game Promotes a safe and professional work environment Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations Benefits Use of Club Facilities Employee Meals While on Duty 401(k) Eligibility After One Year PGA Dues Paid Education Allowance Lesson Income Opportunities Club Repair and Regripping Opportunities Participation in Outings and Events Uniform Allowance Equipment Allowance Health Benefits Contribution Year-End Bonus Holiday Bonus
