Cumberland-Lincoln and Woonsocket Clubhouses Overview :

The Lead Youth Development Professional for soccer programs at the Cumberland-Lincoln and Woonsocket locations. The goal of the program is to provide a safe, fun, positive, and supportive environment for children and to teach children soccer skills as well as life lessons. This is a part-time position, up to 29 hours per week, that requires nights and weekends.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Maintain daily attendance during our soccer programs using Daxko Operations. Maintain a safe and healthy environment and meet all BGCNRI requirements. Create and lead curriculum for instructional soccer sessions using the MOJO App, MLS GO Playbook and BGCNRI curriculums. Organize and manage all MLS Go licensed soccer leagues, camps, and clinics using Playerspace and MLS Go Matrix. Assist the Athletic Director in organizing soccer events and tournaments. Assist the Athletic Director in assigning staff to soccer programs. Assist the Athletic Director in assigning officials for soccer games. Manage all volunteer youth soccer coaches, their training and coaches' meetings. Expand soccer offerings throughout the calendar year. Attend Athletic Lead YDP meetings. Maintain communication on weekly basis with participants using Playerspace Messages (weekly newsletter). Supervise program space during soccer programs. Organize and keep all storage areas, program areas and gym office clean. Maintain equipment and notify Athletic Director of any needed equipment upgrades. Coach, score keep, and officiate games as needed. Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or older. Minimum of 3 years of experience working with children ages 3-16, in a soccer setting preferred. Knowledge of soccer. Demonstrated success leading/facilitating group activities. Experience working successfully with youth. Must be or become CPR/First Aid/AED certified. Required to sit, stand, talk, or hear; via computer, telephone, or in person as needed. Frequently required to engage in active play with children, including bending, reaching, running, and participate in age-appropriate physical activities and sports. Must be able to lift, carry, and move equipment weighing up to 40 pounds. May be required to work indoors and outdoors in varying environment conditions. Successfully pass all BCI requirements.
