Job Description

Overview A Neighborhood Club located in Northeast Columbia, South Carolina . In 2019, a group of 60 resident investors purchased The WildeWood Club with the vision of creating a community-based club that serves as the center of our neighborhood. Our neighborhood, located in Columbia's Northeast section of the city, includes WildeWood and the surrounding communities. Over the next several years, we are excited about planned improvements to our facilities, which will allow the WildeWood Club to better serve our community.
BASIC FUNCTION
Assist the Head Golf Professional in management of the golf operation. Provide professional direction for the standards of service in order to reach and maintain peak levels of performance at all times. Coach, train and develop staff to provide an exceptional experience for all guests. Experience Required
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Must be at a minimum an apprentice member of the PGA of America Must have successfully passed the Players Ability Test
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING
College degree preferred Essential Responsibilities Ensures all guests are greeted and welcomed in a manner that will continually exceed their expectations. Provides an outstanding experience for guests by monitoring the speed of play, conditions and speed of greens, practice areas, levels of service, maintenance, and the cleanliness of the golf Outside Operations and course. Responsible for the opening and/or closing procedures of golf operations. Conducts daily inspections of entire outside golf facility. Directs cart maintenance program as to provide safe and clean vehicles for all members and guests. Provides hands-on training and guidance to Starter/Player Assistants, Outside Services Attendants and Golf Shop Attendants. Performs duties of the Outside Services Attendants as needed. Takes golf reservations. Provides lessons to guests at designated times. Responsible for tracking and logging Daily Rounds Reports. Plays golf with guests as directed by the Head Golf Professional or GM/Director of Golf. Assists guests in the selection of golfing merchandise. Assumes duties of Head Golf Professional on his/her day off. Assists in hiring, training and managing the Golf Operations staff. Assists in evaluating, reviewing and disciplining associates when necessary. Assists merchandise operations with ordering, receiving, pricing, displays, inventory and shop appearance. Assists with all retail inventories. Ensures compliance on all safety guidelines and procedures at all times. Makes recommendations for staffing levels to Head Golf Professional. Maintains playing ability to properly represent the facility and Pinnacle HR Group. Responsible for self-improvement and education with the PGA by attending seminars. Assists in other duties as needed or requested by the Head Golf Professional.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS
Respond to any reasonable task requested by Head Golf Professional or Pinnacle HR Group. Some community association involvement and possible public speaking on behalf of the club or Pinnacle HR Group.
