Job Description
Overview Lakewood Country Club is a classic Dallas gem and the second-oldest club in the area, proudly rooted in a family-oriented culture. Its architectural heritage begins with Tom Bendelow, later refined by Ralph Plummer, enhanced by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, and now being reimagined by Andrew Green. Andrew's design is rooted in Golden Age architecture and will have an old feel with modern playability. This is a rare, once-in-a-career opportunity to help shape the future of a premier private club, with the highly anticipated reopening in Fall 2026. Below is a brief overview of the changes: The range is doubled in size and will feature TrackMan Range Two-bay performance center with GASP pressure plates and a full club fitting operation The new layout plays through existing corridors while completely re-envisioning the design and flow. Hydronics and SubAir have been installed under the new bentgrass greens New 1,800 sq ft halfway house In March, we launched a new primary and secondary logo The next member of this team will be expected to: enhance the member experience, positively contribute to the culture, be a great teammate, and amplify a fun environment for our staff . They will need to be eager to learn all facets of the golf operation and continually grow to better themselves and the facility. The Lakewood Country Club Team Our golf staff, from the Director of Golf to the Assistant Professionals, is composed of experienced leaders who value mentorship and delivering an exceptional member experience. The result is a collaborative, team-first environment that drives both operational excellence and a relaxed, welcoming club culture. Corey Roberson, Director of Golf - Mentored by Texas Golf Hall of Fame member and 2018 National Bill Strausbaugh Award winner Cameron Doan Corey is an accomplished player (competed in three PGA Professional Championships), 2022 STPGA Bill Strausbaugh Award winner, 2018 NTPGA Assistant Golf Professional of the Year, played college golf at Texas State University, and was born and raised in Texas. Amanda McCabe, Director of Retail Amanda McCabe brings expansive golf and merchandising experience from hosting a PGA Tour event to serving as the Director of Retail at premier clubs including San Antonio Country Club and The Clubs of Cordillera Ranch. A Texas native, she combines a strong eye for product curation with a deep understanding of the private club member experience. Brandon Munso, Head Golf Professional Brandon Munso brings extensive experience across top-tier clubs including Erin Hills, Quail West, and Las Campanas, with multiple years as a Head Golf Professional leading high-level member-focused operations. Dylan Jackson, First Assistant Golf Professional Dylan Jackson is a decorated player and national champion at California State University Monterey Bay , with experience at premier clubs including Austin Country Club and Southern Hills Country Club . Lakewood Country Club Highlights 600 golf memberships (with a healthy waitlist) Approximately 29,000 rounds annually Fully retooled retail operation with sights set on $1.5M+ in annual merchandise sales In addition to the information above, there are a few important elements that define who we are as a golf operation. Corey has worked with industry expert, Bruce Crowley, for over 15 years. That work will continue with our team at Lakewood to further enhance our team's development. Each member of the golf staff completes the Birkman Method, a sophisticated personality perception profile, that when combined with other proprietary tools and observed characteristics, helps create a personalized development roadmap for each person.

Experience Required Experience Required Bachelor's degree Private club experience Accomplished player (preferred) Essential Responsibilities Essential Responsibilities The Assistant Professional duties are outlined as stated but not limited to the following: Display a hands-on attitude and willingness to learn all aspects of the golf operation Positively enhance the "laid-back" culture of the club and elevate member experiences. Work alongside a driven and diverse team focused on serving the membership. Display a passion for the game and a willingness to grow in the areas of instruction and club fitting using TrackMan as well as tournament operations using Golf Genius Lead, mentor, and manage all outside staff operations daily. Run Club events and weekly women's golf play days (targeted Fall of 2027) Actively assist in Player Development Programs (ladies & juniors) Assist our Merchandiser with displays, buying, and catering to our membership Benefits Benefits Club provides Health, Dental, and Vision insurance Paid Time Off Flexible scheduling NTPGA Tournament participation is strongly encouraged Club contributes to 401k benefits PGA Dues paid by the Club Practice & playing privileges at the ClubSimilar jobs in Dallas, TX
