Job Description

POSITION TITLE

Mill River After School Student Athlete Supervision Staff

DATES & HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT

Following practice schedule; August- June, from 2:45 or last team

departure.

PAY RATE

$25.00 per hour

LOCATION

Mill River Union High School

SUPERVISED BY

Athletics and Afterschool Directors

BASIC FUNCTION

To provide programming and supervision to student athletes

WORKS WITH

Students, and other school staff

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Minimum age of 18, and HS diploma.

2. Previous experience in teaching, or planning and facilitating activities for groups of youth.

3. Must successfully complete all state and district-mandated training and additional requirements

prior to beginning employment, in accordance with all applicable rules and regulations.

4. Current First Aid and CPR

5. Must pass a criminal record check and complete fingerprinting requirements, in accordance with

applicable rules and regulations.

6. Must be able to work respectfully, collaboratively, and effectively with all other program staff.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

(this is not a comprehensive list, other duties may be assigned as

necessary):

1. Provide student supervision and activity programming in accordance with the policies and

philosophy of the Mill River School and Athletics Programs.

2. Provide activities designed to enhance the healthy emotional social, intellectual, and physical

development of youth.

3. Help youth to become aware of their roles as integral members of a group.

4. Supervise activities to ensure safety at all times.

5. Maintain Mill River's staff, program, and student guidelines and procedures..

6. Support a professional, collaborative work team.

7. Build healthy relationships with youth and other staff.
