Baker/Customer Service Float Dempsey Bakery - 4.0 Little Rock, AR Job Details Part-time $13 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Employee discount Opportunities for advancement Food provided Qualifications Customer communication Teamwork Packing Baking Attention to detail Full Job Description Baker / Customer Service Float Dempsey Bakery Position Overview We're looking for a dependable, flexible team member who can move between bakery production and front-of-house customer service depending on the needs of the day. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is willing to jump in wherever needed to help the bakery run smoothly. Saturday availability is required. Primary Responsibilities Baking / Production Assist with daily bakery production according to recipes and production lists Prepare, portion, bake, finish, and package bakery products Follow Dempsey's gluten-, soy-, and nut-free food safety procedures Maintain consistency in product quality and presentation Keep bakery workstations, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized Assist with stocking, labeling, rotating, and organizing products and ingredients Help the baking team stay on schedule during high-volume production days Customer Service / Front of House Greet and assist customers with a friendly, knowledgeable attitude Take orders and accurately operate the register/POS system Answer questions about products, ingredients, and allergen information Package and prepare customer orders Stock and maintain bakery displays Assist with coffee and beverage service as needed Help with opening, closing, cleaning, and general store operations Step into whichever FOH position needs additional support during busy periods What We're Looking For Must be available to work Saturdays Dependable and punctual Comfortable switching between production and customer-facing responsibilities Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed Strong attention to detail Able to work efficiently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing physical bakery work Able to lift up to 50 lbs Strong communication and teamwork skills Bakery, kitchen, food service, retail, or customer service experience is preferred, but not required Ideal Candidate The right person for this role isn't someone who thinks, "That's not my job." We're looking for someone who notices what needs to be done and is comfortable jumping in—whether that means helping finish a production list in the kitchen, stocking the case, ringing up customers, making coffee, packaging orders, or helping the team get through a busy Saturday. This is a true float position , so flexibility, reliability, and teamwork are essential.
