Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Bakery Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, and maintain a clean and organized bakery environment. This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers while ensuring that all bakery products are handled safely and efficiently. Prior experience in food service or retail is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals passionate about the food industry. The Bakery Clerk will be an integral part of delivering quality service and products to our valued customers. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them with their selections in the bakery section Prepare and package baked goods, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation standards Upsell bakery items Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery display, shelves, and work areas Restock baked goods and supplies as needed throughout the shift Ensure all food safety protocols are followed, including proper sanitation and food storage procedure Manage time effectively to ensure customer orders are fulfilled promptly during busy periods Skills Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations for transactions Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in a bakery or café setting Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours Sales skills including upselling techniques to promote bakery products effectively Ability to work well in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail This position offers an engaging work environment where you can develop your skills in the food industry while providing exceptional service to our customers.
