Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting baked goods, pastries, and other bakery items. Prepare and assemble bakery products, including cake decorating and packaging baked goods for sale. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery display cases and work areas to meet food safety standards. Handle food with proper hygiene practices, ensuring all products are fresh and properly stored. Support food production by assisting in the baking process when needed, including mixing, portioning, and decorating. Manage inventory levels by restocking shelves and notifying management of low stock or product shortages. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about bakery items, ingredients, and dietary options. Qualifications Previous experience in food handling, bakery operations, or a related culinary environment is preferred. Skilled in cake decorating, pastry preparation, and general baking techniques. Strong knife skills and familiarity with food safety protocols are essential. Experience with packaging baked goods for retail or catering purposes is a plus. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen or retail setting while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication. Knowledge of food industry standards, kitchen safety practices, and food preparation procedures is highly desirable.
