You'll learn everything from making breads, cakes, and cookies, to bakery operations and maintenance. Our house favorite pastry is the elaichi bun, so you will learn our method to hand shape our laminated brioche dough. We believe a baker is more than someone who just produces pastry items, but are the standard setter of our food safety and sanitation standards. That means that you will be spending as much time taking care of the back of house space and cleaning, as you will producing in this space. Baker/Prep Responsibilities:
Proofing, Baking, Garnishing, and Packaging all our products for delivery pickup. Properly keeping track of orders, invoices, and organization of products. Preparing and baking all menu items on the menu with excellence and a positive attitude Maintaining an efficient and clean workspace and kitchen; cleaning equipment and tools (includes dish washing after bakeoff, taking out trash, and washing and sanitizing tools) Taking inventory of all ingredients and making sure perishable items are properly labeled, stored, and fresh Strictly adhere to all food safety regulations and maintain high standards of quality control. Work collaboratively in a high-energy team, maintaining a clean, beautiful, and safe environment for staff.
Baker Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent A valid Food Handler's Card Previous baking experience and basic baking knowledge (proportions, yeasted dough, temperatures etc.) Knife skills Willingness to continue learning and being trained about food preparation and baking methods Ability to work early mornings ( 3:00am start time ) Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods, including being able to lift items up to 30 pounds. Exceptional listening, communication, and conflict resolution skills. A polite, engaging and positive personality. Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment.

Interview Process:
1. You will be sent a short screening questionnaire. Take time to review all the application questions. We use your answers to learn more about you and determine your fit at our company. 2. If selected, you will be invited to participate in a 30 minute virtual interview with one of our Bakery Managers. 3. If selected, you will be invited to participate in a 60 minute trial shift at our commissary kitchen where you'll meet with some of our team and learn more about our culture. 4. Reference check stage.
Compensation:
Starting baker wage is $23, including 40 hours of paid sick leave.
