Role:

SugarBears Sweet Provisions is looking for a talented and creative Cake Decorator to join our team in Encinitas, CA! If you have a passion for edible artistry and love bringing sweet visions to life, this is the perfect opportunity to do what you love every day in a fun, bakery environment.

Responsibilities:

Design and decorate custom cakes, cupcakes, and other baked goods using a variety of techniques Apply fondant, buttercream, ganache, and other icings with precision and creativity Collaborate with customers and team members to execute custom cake orders and special requests Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary decorating workspace in compliance with food safety standards Manage multiple orders simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards Create decorative elements such as sugar flowers, piping designs, and hand-painted details Assist with inventory of decorating supplies and communicate restocking needs

Requirements:

Prior experience in cake decorating, pastry arts, or a related bakery role preferred Proficiency in buttercream and fondant techniques, piping, and cake finishing Strong attention to detail with a creative eye for design and color Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced bakery environment Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (Food Handler's Card a plus) Excellent communication skills and a team-player attitude Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
