Baker

Gusto Bread is an artisan panadería working with masa madre (wild fermentation) and in-house nixtamal. We focus on naturally leavened breads and pastries made with high-quality ingredients and a strong commitment to consistency and craft. We're hiring a baker to join our morning production team, focused on executing daily pastry and bakery items with care, precision, and efficiency. Schedule 4:00am - 12:30pm, Wednesday - Sunday Early morning and weekend availability required Reliable transportation required Responsibilities Mix, shape, proof, and bake pastries to quality standards Execute daily production with consistency and urgency Follow recipes, systems, and food safety standards Maintain a clean and organized station Support team with prep and production tasks as needed What We're Looking For 1+ year commercial kitchen experience (required) Professional baking experience preferred Able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and consistency Reliable, organized, and team-oriented Bonus (not required): Experience with laminated doughs (croissant, puff pastry, etc) Experience with sourdough / natural fermentation (masa madre) About the Role This is a hands-on production role . We're looking for someone who takes pride in doing things well, works clean and focused, and shows up consistently for the team.

Compensation & Benefits Base:

$17-18/hr

Tips:

$6-8/hr average Total expected earnings: $23-25/hr

Full-time:
