Job Description
MUST HAVE COMMERCIAL MULTI-DECK OVEN BAKING EXPERIENCE.
We are looking for an experienced Deck Oven Baker to run our Loguidice deck oven five days a week, baking our ciabattas, sourdoughs, country, and other artisan breads. Pay based on experience. Will also train but must have experience working with artisan breads.We need someone who:
is a team player Is a multitasker Is able to follow quick, in the moment directions makes clean and quick transitions between projects ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail is routine-oriented, with the ability to adapt understands and operates with a clean and organized mise en place has the ability to work with their hands to create a wide variety of artisan bread shapes is fast on their feet, able to lift 50 pounds or more has an understanding of health and safety procedures in a professional kitchen setting has a passion for baking artisan bread and commitment to quality craftsmanship Join our dedicated team of artisan bakers who proudly handcraft an impressive variety of breads from scratch for Denver's best restaurants and hotels as well as for the public in a quality-focused, team-oriented, positive atmosphere. Grateful Bread Company is a family owned and operated, rapidly growing artisan bakery. Grounded in artisan philosophy and focused on quality above all else, we are committed to using only the finest natural, organic, and locally sourced ingredients, including organic whole grain flours milled in-house with our Osttiroler stone flour mill. Our artisan philosophy is at the heart of our bakery - we wouldn't be who we are without it. Our founder has been baking artisan breads for over 40 years, and he has developed our custom formulas to meet the needs of our chef-driven restaurants. Every Saturday we open a retail shop to the public which includes a selection of exclusive pastries, pretzels and specialty breads. We don't use any chemicals or preservatives, and we use natural starters and long fermentation processes to create true Old-World-style artisan breads. We use a different starter for nearly every type of dough, including our 26-year-old natural sourdough starter, which is what gives our breads their unique character and flavor. Our guiding philosophy is uncompromising dedication to quality, maintaining the integrity of the artisan process, using only the very best all-natural ingredients, and creating an environment for artisan bakers to thrive.
