Responsibilities Prepare and shape bagel dough with precision, following established recipes and techniques Bake bagels to perfection using commercial ovens, maintaining consistent quality and appearance Decorate and finish bagels with toppings or fillings as needed, showcasing your cake decorating skills when applicable Package baked goods efficiently for retail display or catering orders, ensuring freshness and presentation standards are met Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking station, adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, portioning, and assembling ingredients for various bakery items Support the team in food handling and kitchen operations to ensure smooth daily production Skills Proven experience in baking, pastry arts, or food production, with a focus on bread or bagel making preferred Strong knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment used in baking and food preparation Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures within the food industry Ability to decorate cakes or pastries is a plus, demonstrating attention to detail and creativity Excellent customer service skills to engage with customers when selling baked goods directly or during catering events Experience in packaging baked items efficiently for retail or wholesale distribution Prior restaurant or catering experience that highlights your culinary versatility and teamwork capabilities
