Baker & Cake Decorator The Sweet Spot Desserts & Cake Supplies is seeking a dependable, skilled, and motivated Baker/Cake Decorator to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both baking and decorating and is looking for long-term stability and growth within a successful bakery. Our ideal candidate is experienced in cake decorating, comfortable working with dough, and capable of completing custom cakes with minimal supervision while assisting with daily bakery production.

Pay:

$15.00 - $16.50 per hour Starting pay will be based on experience, skill level, reliability, and overall performance.

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare, proof, shape, and bake cinnamon rolls and other dough-based products Assist with daily batter preparation and high-volume baking production Bake cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and other bakery items according to established recipes Ice, decorate, and finish cakes using buttercream, fondant, and other decorating techniques Complete custom cake orders independently from start to finish Construct, stack, and decorate tiered and wedding cakes with minimal supervision Maintain production schedules and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times Maintain a clean and organized workstation

Qualifications:

Minimum 6-12 months of professional bakery or cake decorating experience Experience working in a high-volume bakery, kitchen, or similar environment Knowledge of dough handling, proofing, and baking techniques Ability to follow recipes and production procedures accurately Comfortable working with buttercream, cream cheese icing, fondant, and piping techniques Wedding cake and tiered cake experience preferred Ability to complete custom cake orders independently Strong communication skills and professional work ethic Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Food Handler Certification required prior to hire

Schedule:

Wednesday - Sunday 3:00 AM - 10:00 AM Additional hours may be required during holidays and busy weekends.
