Baker

Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pastry/Baker to join our family. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in food handling and production, with a flair for creating delicious baked goods. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality baked goods. Responsibilities Prepare and bake a variety of goods including breads, pastries, cakes, and cookies. Follow recipes accurately to maintain consistency in taste and presentation. Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair to enhance visual appeal. Ensure all food handling and safety standards are adhered to in the kitchen. Package baked products for sale while maintaining quality and freshness. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and seasonal offerings. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area and kitchen equipment. Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers about our baked goods. Experience Proven experience in food preparation and baking is preferred. Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is essential. Skills in cake decorating or pastry creation are highly desirable. Previous experience in a customer service role within a culinary environment is an advantage. A culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus but not mandatory. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
