Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the daily operations of our bakery by assisting in food preparation, maintaining food safety standards, and providing excellent customer service. If you have a passion for baking and a desire to learn more about the culinary arts, this position is perfect for you. Duties As a Bakery Assistant, your responsibilities will include: Assisting with food preparation tasks, including mixing, measuring, and baking ingredients. Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Packaging baked goods for display and sale, ensuring products are presented attractively to customers. Providing exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and answering questions about our products. Supporting cake decorating efforts as needed, utilizing basic decorating techniques to enhance product presentation. Collaborating with the bakery team to meet production goals and maintain high-quality standards in all baked goods. Experience The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience: Previous experience in food preparation or the food industry is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. Basic culinary skills including knife handling and an understanding of kitchen equipment. Experience in catering or cake decorating is a plus but not mandatory; we are willing to train the right candidate who shows enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
