Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Bakery Associate to join our team. As a Bakery Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring our bakery operates smoothly and efficiently, providing high-quality products and service to our customers. Responsibilities Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales transactions Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product selection and inquiries Handle cashiering duties including cash handling, processing payments, and giving change accurately Upsell products to enhance sales opportunities and promote bakery specials Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery area, including food handling, bussing, and sanitation procedures Ensure food safety standards are consistently met throughout all operations Restock shelves, display cases, and ensure proper organization of baked goods and supplies Assist with basic kitchen tasks such as baking, packaging, and inventory management Support team members in a fast-paced environment typical of quick service or fast food restaurants Qualifications Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or retail is preferred; culinary or restaurant experience is a plus Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude Basic math skills for cash handling, grocery store math, or retail math applications Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Ability to work efficiently in a quick service or fast-food setting while maintaining quality standards Experience with cashiering, serving, upselling, and cash handling is desirable Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting supplies or baked goods as needed Join our team as a Bakery Associate to enjoy a dynamic work environment where your skills in food industry operations and customer service will be valued.
