Job Description
INTRO TO NATIVE BREAD

ABOUT THE JOB
As a part-time artisan baker, you'll work alongside three other bakers. The hours for this position are:
Monday:
7 am
•11 am
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday:
6 am
•11 am
Friday:
5:30 am
•11 am Your main responsibilities will be baking off pastries for our storefront and wholesale partners and helping with the daily production of bread and other baked goods we produce. Some of the duties include measuring, mixing, weighing, shaping, and packaging. On Tuesday
•Friday mornings you will be the first person at the bakery and will bake off pastries and cookies that are needed for the storefront and wholesale orders. This is very simple as all of our cookies and pastries are already prepared and stored in our freezer so all you will do is tray them up and pop them in the oven.
HERE'S A GENERAL OVERVIEW OF A TYPICAL SHIFT
Tray up cookies and pastries to bake off for our storefront and wholesale partners Measure out ingredients for our bread and pastries Mix batches of dough and other products precisely following the correct order of operations Scale out loaves of bread Shape bread Score and prepare bread before it goes in the ovens Remove bread from the ovens once it's finished baking and transferring it to cooling racks Help prepare whatever pastries are needed for the day
REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift 50 pounds Must have a form of reliable transportation and the ability to travel to and from our kitchen located at 9546 Allisonville Rd, Suite 106, Indianapolis, IN 46250 Must be available for the days and times listed above Must be able to be on your feet for up to 5.5 hours a day Must know how to complete various food preparation tasks such as cutting, chopping, slicing, dicing etc.
