Evening Baker

We are looking to recruit a full-time or part-time evening production baker for our busy bakery and café. Prior restaurant (baking and/or management) experience preferred. Flexible schedule with weekend and overnight availability is highly preferred. Salary is negotiable based on experience. Baker responsibilities include rolling, shaping and baking croissants and danish, mixing breads, muffins, and scone dough, as well as preparing fillings and glazing pastries. Time management and ability to multitask is essential. Ultimately, you will make sure we offer fresh and delicious goods to our customers on a daily basis. Responsibilities Roll and shape dough to prepare different types of pastries, including croissants, sweet danishes, brioche, and baguettes. Adjust oven temperatures to ensure proper baking. Sense of urgency and good work ethic is essential. Previous experience in a bakery or kitchen preferred Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders and ovens. Understanding of food safety practices Excellent time-management skills Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude Physically able to lift 50lbs and work standing for at least 8hrs. Located in historic Woods Hole, at the end of the Bike Path; just a 1 minute walk from the Martha's Vineyard ferry terminal, Pie in the Sky Bakery & Internet Café is open 7 days a week.
