Job Description
The primary responsibilities of the Baker position include bakery food preparation, presentation/ merchandising of retail products including breads, cookies, pies, breakfast items, miscellaneous desserts, and catering platters. Job requires overnight shift work to ensure availability of early morning products. Other responsibilities include Customer Service, Sanitation, Utilization of products to minimize waste. Assists in menu development and program enhancement. Perform other related duties as assigned including assisting other departments. Daily Tasks include : Prepare and bake a variety of bread, pastries, muffins, cookies, pies, desserts and catering requests according to recipes Measure and mix ingredients accurately to ensure quality and consistency Monitor baking times and temperatures to achieve optimal results Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and the baking area Label, store, & utilize all food products in an efficient manner, minimizing waste and ensuring food safety Decorate and present baked goods attractively for customers Collaborate with kitchen staff to fulfill orders and manage inventory
