BAKER

Seeking a skilled and passionate baker to join our small scratch baking team. Applicants must be hard working, highly organized, and have a positive attitude. Culinary school is preferred but relevant work experience is also welcome; candidates must have a strong understanding of commercial baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment. You should be very familiar with breakfast pastries including muffins, scones, quick breads, granola, cookies, and cinnamon rolls. The ideal candidate is able to work efficiently, independently, and possesses a high standard for quality and consistency in your products. This position is part-time, or 24-30 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

Prepare doughs, batters, and other ingredients according to recipes Bake a variety of breakfast and afternoon pastries Monitor oven temperatures and baking times to ensure proper cooking Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including equipment and workstations Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate baking schedules and ensure timely delivery of products Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed

Requirements:

Proven experience as a baker or relevant role Strong knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently in a solo position Certification from a culinary school or equivalent experience is a plus
