Baker Fulltime year-round with benefits 1 year experience

Position:

Food Preparation Worker Seeking Fulltime, year round morning baker and prep support to join our team at a year-round bustling cafe. 5:30 am start time and one weekend day required. Also, this position is included in daily tips allotment.

Responsibilities include:

Baking muffins, scones, and other pastries each morning to prepare for a 7am opening. Making fresh batters, prepping a variety of food items ranging from cookies, pastries, casseroles and seasonal menu recipes. Comfortable using a meat slicer Keeping on top of ingredient needs for daily deliveries Putting away and organizing ingredients daily Keeping the kitchen clean by washing dishes and mopping at the end of each shift. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team with a positive attitude.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience cooking and preparing food preferred. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language, to a high standard. Must be able to follow instructions and perform routine tasks accurately with minimal supervision. Must be able to use a kitchen utensil knife, set of cooking tools and standard equipment in the preparation of food items. Ability to communicate effectively and respectively with others. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, use stairs to and from basement, and stand for long periods of time. $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
