Schedule:

Flexible schedules as needed, including early mornings, nights and weekends LowCarb Avenue is a family-owned commercial bakery specializing in artisan, low-carb breads, bagels, and baked goods. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Assistant Baker to help with baking, cleaning, slicing, grading, and packaging. Commercial bakery experience is preferred but not required

• we will train the right person.

What You'll Do:

Help bakers with daily baking

• weighing and preparing ingredients, mixing, shaping, proofing, and loading/unloading ovens Clean and sanitize bakery equipment after baking, including mixers, bowls, sheet pans, racks, proofers, and work tables Slice bread, bagels, and other baked goods using commercial slicers Grade baked goods
• check each item for size, shape, color, and bake quality, and set aside anything that doesn't meet our standards Package baked goods neatly and accurately
• bagging, sealing, and labeling for farmers markets, online orders, and wholesale Keep the production area clean, organized, and food-safe throughout the shift Follow recipes, food safety rules, and the daily production schedule Help with other bakery tasks as needed

Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age or older (required to operate commercial slicers and mixers) Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, with or without reasonable accommodation Flexible availability

• able to work early mornings, nights, and weekends as needed Commercial bakery experience preferred but not required
• we will train Food safety certification (such as ServSafe Food Handler) preferred but not required Candidates local to Frederick, MD preferred; must be able to reliably commute to our Frederick bakery Able to communicate clearly with the team in English Detail-oriented, dependable, and takes pride in quality work Must be authorized to work in the

United States Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Standing for long periods; frequent bending, reaching, and lifting Work near hot ovens and in warm conditions, as well as in coolers/freezers Exposure to common food allergens including wheat, tree nuts, eggs, dairy, and soy
