Overview The 2nd Shift Baker at CRUST plays an important role in finishing the day's production and ensuring our baked goods are properly baked, finished, sliced, packaged, and prepared for distribution. Duties Proofing and baking a variety of CRUST products according to established production schedules and specifications Frying, filling, topping, and finishing doughnuts Baking and finishing products including brownies, cookies, cinnamon rolls, danishes, muffins, viennoiseries, laminated pastries, and other CRUST products Monitoring bake times and product quality to ensure items meet CRUST standards Ensuring proper temperatures and equipment settings are used on proofers, ovens, fryers, and other bakery equipment Following recipes, production procedures, and quality specifications established by management Safely operating the bread slicer and other bakery equipment Reading and accurately following the daily bread slicing report Slicing breads according to required product specifications Properly bagging and tagging sliced bread, ensuring products are labeled accurately Organizing finished and packaged breads according to route, order, product type, or designated storage location Maintaining an organized workflow to ensure production, slicing, and packaging are completed on schedule Communicating product shortages, quality concerns, equipment issues, or production discrepancies to leadership Maintaining clean, organized, and sanitary work areas throughout the shift Cleaning and sanitizing bakery equipment, including the bread slicer, according to established procedures Following all CRUST food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements Assisting with additional bakery production and end-of-shift responsibilities as needed Requirements Have flexible availability between approximately 4:00 PM and midnight , including weekends and high-volume holiday seasons, particularly the days and weeks surrounding Thanksgiving and Christmas Are dependable and able to consistently arrive on time for scheduled shifts Are quality-driven and highly detail-oriented Have strong organizational and time-management skills Can accurately read and follow production schedules, slicing reports, recipes, labels, and product specifications Are comfortable working independently while also contributing to a team environment Can prioritize multiple responsibilities while meeting tight production deadlines Work efficiently in a fast-paced bakery environment Take pride in producing consistent, high-quality products Maintain a clean and organized workspace without sacrificing productivity Why Choose CRUST?
