Early Morning Baker

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be an early riser and have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a focus on creating delicious baked goods. As a Baker, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality products that meet our customers' expectations. This position requires attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The shift begins at 3:00 am. Duties Prepare and bake a variety of bread and pastries according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations. Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and other baking tools safely and effectively. Package finished products for same day delivery to wholesale customers and farmer's markets while ensuring freshness and quality. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area, adhering to sanitation standards. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and fulfill customer orders. Qualifications Previous experience in a bakery or food production environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of baking techniques, food preparation methods, and culinary skills. Familiarity with viennoiserie. Proficient in food handling practices and safety regulations within the food industry. Ability to use kitchen tools such as knives, mixers, and ovens safely. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality baked goods. A passion for baking and creativity is highly desirable. Our ideal candidate will love great food and love learning and improving everyday. Skills needed to be successful are punctuality, cleanliness, organizational abilities, and ability to follow directions. Must be 18 or older to operate machinery, be able to lift 50lbs, and stand for 8-10 hours daily (except break time).
