About Us:

Scratch KC is a wholesale bakery that produces elevated, quality pastries in high volume and "grab & go" food items for coffee shops, cafes, hotels, casinos, hospitals, the KCI airport, and more. As we continue to grow, we are looking for additional team members who are passionate about baking and bakery production.

Responsibilities & Shifts:

All shifts start at 7:00 am (No early mornings! No overnights!) Prepare a variety of baked goods, desserts, and pastries with precision and flair, ensuring high standards of taste and presentation Package finished products carefully to maintain freshness and appeal for retail or catering purposes Assist in food production processes, including mixing, baking, and assembling culinary items according to established recipes Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production workspace, adhering strictly to food safety protocols Support food handling procedures by following proper hygiene practices during all stages of food preparation Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining exceptional customer service standards Requirements Proven experience in baking, or pastry arts within a food industry setting Strong skills in food handling, kitchen safety, and sanitation practices Hands-on experience with food preparation, baking techniques, and culinary arts Ability to follow detailed recipes and instructions Knowledge of packaging methods suitable for bakery or catering products Proficiency with baking tools and equipment Proficiency with decorating and finishing baked products Proficiency with dough sheeter machines and the dough lamination process Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Time management skills Pay based on work experience/training.
