We're looking for a warm, friendly, and dependable team member who can help us create both delicious sweets and a welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors.
Position Overview:
The Baker's Assistant will work closely with the bakery owner to prepare sweets, serve customers, and ensure that our bakery remains a clean, safe, and inviting space. This role requires a passion for great customer service, attention to detail, and commitment to proper food handling and sanitation practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare a variety of sweets and baked goods according to recipes and quality standards. Provide exceptional customer service with a positive attitude and genuine warmth. Create a welcoming environment for all customers. Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times. Follow all safety guidelines and food handling procedures. Ensure proper sanitation of utensils, equipment, and work areas. Assist with restocking and inventory management. Support the team in daily operations and special events.
Qualifications:
Previous bakery, kitchen, or food service experience preferred but not required. Must have (or be willing to obtain) a valid Food Handler's certification. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Compassionate, dependable, and enthusiastic about serving others. Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
Schedule & Compensation:
Part-time, with potential for full-time hours. Flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays. Pay based on experience.
