We are seeking a reliable, fast-moving, and proactive Baker Assistant to support daily production at our popular and busy artisanal bakery. This role is essential to keeping our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. Pay to be determined based on skills and experience. Initial two-month trial period, with potential for long-term employment and benefits for full-time employees. Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following: Portioning and scooping cookie dough Basic mixing (following set formulas) Light baking tasks as directed Prepping vegetables and ingredients for sandwiches and baked goods Organizing ingredients, storage areas, and the kitchen Packaging baked goods Receiving, organizing, and storing ingredient deliveries Cleaning workstations, dishes, and equipment Cleaning floors, walls and work surfaces Maintaining inventory organization Lifting up to 50 lbs (flour bags, sheet trays, deliveries) Required skills include, but are not limited, to the following: 1+ years working in commercial kitchen required Professional attitude and strong work ethic with integrity Able to work independently, with a proactive mindset Fast-paced, efficient, focused, and punctual Someone who uses downtime productively (cleaning, prepping, organizing—not chatting, scrolling or idling) Mature, reliable, and task-oriented. Punctuality is a must. Able to follow systems with minimal ongoing training Someone with prior pastry experience is strongly preferred Weekend availability is a must

Pay:

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
