Part-Time Baker Half Baked is looking for a reliable, experienced baker to join our small but mighty team. We create over-the-top cookies and other scratch-made desserts in a fast-paced bakery environment where quality and consistency matter. This is a part-time position averaging 10-15 hours per week across three shifts: Two flexible daytime prep shifts (4-5 hours each) between Monday and Wednesday One Saturday baking shift from 4:00 AM to approximately 9:00 AM This is primarily a solo baking role, so you'll need to be comfortable working independently and managing your time effectively. What You'll Be Doing Mixing, scaling, preparing, and baking products from scratch using established recipes Accurately measuring and gathering ingredients for production Operating commercial bakery equipment safely and efficiently Maintaining a clean, organized workspace and following all food safety standards Helping ensure products meet Half Baked's quality and consistency standards What We're Looking For 2-5 years of professional baking experience or a culinary school background Experience working with commercial bakery equipment Strong understanding of baking techniques and baking science Ability to work efficiently and independently Excellent attention to detail, organization, and cleanliness Basic math skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull heavy equipment as needed You Should Be Self-motivated and dependable Punctual and professional Comfortable working independently and managing your workload Knowledgeable about food safety and sanitation practices Passionate about baking and producing high-quality products
