As a Bobarista at Ugly Dumpling, you are a part of the warm and welcoming environment for the guests. You will be instrumental in helping to create a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. This position is perfect for someone who loves interacting with people and thrives in a lively, fast-paced environment. Duties & Responsibilities Prepare and serve bubble tea beverages according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines. Cook and maintain the quality of boba pearls and other toppings throughout the day. Measure, mix, and adjust ingredients to ensure consistency and flavor. Innovate and suggest new drink ideas or variations to enhance the menu. Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude. Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and customization options. Take customer orders accurately, process transactions, and handle payments. Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing concerns or special requests promptly. Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including counters, equipment, and storage areas. Follow proper food safety and sanitation protocols at all times. Assist with daily opening, closing, and shift change tasks, including equipment cleaning and stock replenishment. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies, such as teas, syrups, and toppings. Communicate restocking needs to management in a timely manner. Properly store and label all ingredients to ensure freshness and quality. Performs other duties as assigned. Essential Functions Previous experience as a barista or in food/beverage preparation is a plus but not required. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes consistently. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. Familiarity with bubble tea preparation or a willingness to learn. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and measurements. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours per shift). Ability to lift and carry up to 25-50 pounds. Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive movements in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work in varying conditions, including heat, cold, and noise. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
