Job Description

Overview We are seeking an early morning baker to assist us in our bakery. Duties include pastry prep and baking under the direction of our Pastry Chef. Two years commercial kitchen experience required.
Responsibilities:
Production:
Prepare and bake breads, cakes, pastries, cookies, and other confections following standard recipes and quality guidelines.
Ingredient Management:
Accurately measure, weigh, and mix ingredients for doughs, batters, and fillings.
Dough & Batter Preparation:
Knead, roll, cut, and shape dough; prepare and fill pans, molds, or baking sheets.
Baking Process:
Monitor oven temperatures and baking times to ensure consistent results.
Finishing & Decorating:
Decorate baked goods using icing, glazes, and other garnishes to enhance visual appeal.
Inventory Control:
Maintain adequate supplies of ingredients and products, ensuring proper storage, rotating stock, and minimizing waste.
Workstation Maintenance:
Keep the baking area, equipment, and utensils clean, organized, and sanitized to meet health and safety standards.
Essential Skills Baking Expertise:
Knowledge of different baking techniques and how to create various baked goods. Attention to
Detail:
Precision in measuring ingredients and following recipes for consistent outcomes.
Food Safety:
Understanding and adherence to all food safety and sanitation regulations. New Mexico food handler certificate required.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks. Must be able to lift 50lbs.
Creativity:
Skills in decorating and potentially developing new recipes.
Organizational Skills:
Ability to manage inventory, maintain a clean workspace, and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
