  • Full-time Position:
    Bakery Supervisor full-time, year-round Job Requirements Ability to follow precise scratch recipes and baking instructions Professional, respectful and positive demeanor Strong communication skills
  • ability to effectively listen, read & speak clearly Ability to function as a team player maintaining clear lines of communication with employees and managers across departments farm wide Ability to work weekends Responsibilities Bake scratch and bake off products for sale in farm store and special orders Work with donut robot machinery to produce cider doughnuts for sale in farm store, seasonal take out window and special orders Hire, train, schedule and supervise bakers and doughnut makers Oversee bakery and doughnut production from early morning through end of day clean up Implement, oversee and enforce bakery department's adherence to Albany County Department of Health Regulations Ensure bakery equipment is operated correctly and maintained in good working order and that any malfunctioning of equipment is reported promptly to management Manage inventory levels and rotation of finished baked goods as well as all ingredients, and supplies Maintain organization and cleanliness of storage of bakery supplies/ingredients Calculate cost of goods and retail pricing of baked goods Develop of new/exciting bakery and donut products to engage customer and increase sales Conduct maintenance and deep cleaning of bakery equipment including ovens, mixers, tools, coolers and freezers Oversee and provide support to staff as needed to wash equipment, utensils and small wares Manage interactions between bakers, doughnut makers and service staff at bakery counter and take out window Pay starts at $20 an hour, wage increases are commensurate with experience and qualifications.
