Bakery Manager/ Kitchen Management Position Summary:
The Baker is responsible for preparing and baking breads, pastries, and other baked goods while maintaining quality, consistency, and food safety standards. This role supports the daily production of bakery items, ensuring that products are prepared according to recipes and are presented to guests fresh and at the highest quality. The Baker works closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams to support bakery production and maintain an organized and efficient bakery workspace. Key Responsibilities Prepare and bake breads, pastries, and other baked goods according to established recipes. Measure, mix, proof, shape, and bake doughs and batters. Monitor baking times, oven temperatures, and product quality. Maintain consistency in product quality, flavor, and presentation. Assist with production planning and preparation for daily bakery needs. Maintain cleanliness and organization of bakery workspaces and equipment. Label, store, and rotate ingredients and finished products according to food safety standards. Assist with inventory management and ingredient preparation. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure bakery items are stocked and available for service. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations. Essential Skills Strong attention to detail and consistency in baking Ability to follow recipes and production schedules Organization and time management skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment Knowledge of baking techniques and equipment Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50-60 lbs Dependability and punctuality Qualifications Previous bakery or pastry experience preferred Culinary or baking training preferred but not required Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Ability to work early morning or production shifts as needed Compensation & Benefits Competitive wages Paid vacation time 401(k) options Health insurance for employees averaging 30+ hours per week Food & beverage allowance Growth opportunities
