Job Description
Nostrana and Enoteca Nostrana are seeking a skilled Baking Assistant to work closely with our Head Baker, supporting daily production of breads and pizza dough. This is a hands-on, bread-focused role for someone who values craft, consistency, and working as part of a thoughtful, collaborative kitchen. Ideal candidates would have flexibility to cover shifts when necessary.
Our kitchen operates seven days a week, with shifts beginning at 6:30am. Weekend availability is required. Hourly pay starts at $24 and is based on experience and skill. Healthcare and retirement benefits are available after 90 days.
Who you areAt least two years of professional bread baking experience, including sourdough breadsOrganized, clean, and detail-drivenReliable, punctual, and steady in a fast paced environmentComfortable working independently, without direct supervision, while staying connected to a larger teamConfident with bakers math, scaling, spiral mixers, shaping, and bakingOpen to feedback and learningCommitted to upholding Nostrana production specs. Our menu may change daily, but our pizza dough and breads require daily consistency.
