Job Description
Welcome to Baker & Spice! We are a small bakery in Southwest Portland specializing in hand-crafted pastries, pies, tarts, breads and moreWho we are looking for:
Full-time year round employeeSomeone who understands and respects the entire lamination process from mixing prefements & detremepes to lamination and the final shape. While also understanding and learning Baker & Spice specs and procedures. Willingness to learn, share and improve skills with an eye for detail. Experience working with sheeter, 60 quart mixer, spiral mixer and any other related kitchen equipmentDevelop a thorough understanding of B&S's complete line of products.
Good organizational and timing skills with the ability to multi-task. Good time management is necessary. Comfortable working independently and managing the production of the stationMust be a team player willing to help out where neededClean and efficient.
Reliable and punctual for scheduled shifts.
Knowledge of and ability to use ExcelResponds well to feedback and follows instructions.
Excellent communication skillsSelf-motivatedBe comfortable offering customer support by happily interfacing with customers when asked a question, answering phones and/or taking orders. This is a physically demanding position
Shifts are Wednesday-Sunday, starting between 8 & 10am and will be around 8 hours long. This is subject to change especially around the holidays. However, we do aim for consistency. We do have black-out periods around the holidays so this position must have open availability between November and January.
Current Oregon food handler's certification is required.

- requiring you to be standing, on your feet and moving quickly and efficiently 100% of your shift. What are the perks?$18.50/hourTips average $8
