Job description Spread Bagelry, Philadelphia's own Montreal Style Wood Fired Bagelry is searching for the following position to work at our Philly City stores. Baker (3AM TO NOON) Part-time We're looking for a part-time reliable, early-morning Baker to join our team! This role is responsible for prepping, baking, and finishing fresh bagels daily while maintaining quality, consistency, and food safety standards. This position is ideal for an morning person that thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys hands-on production work.

Responsibilities:

With a start time between 3:30 - 4AM, our Bakers gear up to build a fire in an old-world, wood-fired oven using a combination of gas and wood fire Proof, boil, and bake bagels according to company recipes and standards Operate ovens and baking equipment safely and efficiently Maintain consistent quality, size, and appearance of all bagels Prepare the bagel proofing process by traying up bagels on a daily basis for the following couple of days use, rotating stock regularly Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards Clean and maintain workstations, tools, and equipment Communicate production needs or issues to the Manager Work collaboratively with the FOH and BOH teams as needed

Qualifications:

Prior food production experience required; experience working with a wood-fire oven a plus Ability to work early morning hours (4AM start time) Comfortable working on your feet with a wood fire oven Strong attention to detail and consistency; familiarity with proofing a plus Strong focus on customer satisfaction and handling complaints professionally Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Pay Range $17 - $19
