Exempt A Brief Overview Provides expert classroom, clinical instruction and academic advising. Serves as a mentor for faculty colleagues and a consultant to other faculty for classroom, clinical practice, and/or curriculum development. Provides leadership and serves as a consultant for SON, healthcare facilities and University Committees. Serves as a consultant, program evaluator or distinguished speaker for other schools of nursing and the community. Demonstrates a sustained pattern of leadership in professional or community service at the state, regional and/or national level. Sustains a program of sound scholarship. Education Qualifications Doctorate DNP or PHD. Required Experience Qualifications 10 years Recent full-time college teaching and/or 5 years at the rank of Associate Professor. Required Skills and Abilities Demonstrated growth in scholarly activity ability. (Required proficiency) Recognized as a leader in academic and professional and/or community organizations. (Required proficiency) Demonstrated teaching effectiveness ability. (Required proficiency) Appreciates Jean Watson's Theory of Human Caring in every aspect of care delivery at SVH (Required proficiency) Demonstrates skills as an expert clinician /educator. (Required proficiency) Licenses and Certifications Registered Nurse- KSBN Required Certified Nurse Educator
