Early Morning Baker — Morning Brew Co. (Ooltewah, TN) About the role Morning Brew Co. is a growing coffee shop and scratch bakery in Ooltewah, and we're looking for an early-morning baker to help run our daily pastry and future production. This isn't a big-box grocery bakery, we make our croissants and laminated pastries from scratch, and we care a lot about doing it right. You'll work in our dedicated production kitchen alongside our baking team, focused on getting quality product out the door each morning. If you love the quiet focus of an early kitchen, take pride in your craft, and like the kind of job where you come in, do great work, and head out when it's done — this is a good fit. Schedule & pay Start time: 5:00 AM (this is a hard requirement — you have to be a true morning person) 20-30 hours per week, with room for more $17/hour to start Flexible scheduling around a consistent early morning core What you'll do Bake and finish our daily lineup of pastries, croissants, and baked goods to a consistent standard Follow our recipes and production sheets accurately — weighing, portioning, shaping, and timing Handle proofing, baking, and finishing on schedule so product is ready for open Package finished items to protect freshness and presentation for the case and for catering Keep your station and the kitchen clean, following food safety and sanitation standards Help prep specialty items for coffee cart catering events when needed Keep an eye on ingredient and supply levels and flag management when we're getting low What we're looking for Real food or kitchen experience (bakery or pastry experience is a big plus, but we'll train the right person on our process) A genuine morning person who's reliable and shows up on time — the 5 AM start is the whole job Someone self-directed who can work through a task list without being managed step-by-step Attention to detail and consistency, especially under a morning time crunch A team player who keeps a clean, organized station Food handler's certification, or willingness to get one Why you'll like working here A calm, focused early-morning environment — you work in a separate production kitchen with the baking team, not out on a busy front counter Task-based days: get your work done to standard and your day is yours Flexible scheduling around the core morning shift A small, growing business where good work gets noticed and there's room to grow as we expand our bakery program The satisfaction of making real, from-scratch product people genuinely love Ready to start your mornings with us?
