May specialize in baking a particular product, such as bread or cakes, or specialize in a particular style of baking. Works in an independent bakery, restaurant, grocery store, or food manufacturing facility.
We are hiring decorators in our Bakery department, at your Publix at Smoky Mountain Gateway, Store #1713 and we'd love to meet you! This store is located at 750 Winfield Dunn Pkwy, Sevierville, TN 37876 . We are looking for friendly, customer-service-oriented people to join our hard-working family of associates.
Job Description:
Provides premier customer service, including greeting customers and answering their questions. Ices, decorates, packages, labels, and prices products for island refrigerator cases. Fills customer special orders, including wedding cakes. Sells products by providing customers with information needed to make product-related decisions. Operates the Bakery department mixer. Follows Publix's guidelines for cake decorators and maintains Publix's high standards for product freshness and sanitation. Organizes and rotates stock in the Decorator's freezer. Assists in other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age. Knowledge and experience in a retail, hospitality, or commercial environment as a cake decorator, or equivalent work experience.
