Full-Time (On-Site) Position Summary Horseshoe Bay Resort is seeking a Pastry Cook to support banquet operations by preparing and presenting high-quality baked goods and desserts. This role is responsible for executing recipes, maintaining consistency, and ensuring food safety standards in a high-volume kitchen environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare breads, pastries, and desserts according to standardized recipes and production schedules Assist with plating and presentation for banquet events Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and workplace standards Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area Assist with inventory control and proper use of supplies to minimize waste Collaborate with culinary team members to support daily operations Qualifications 4 years of culinary or food and beverage experience with a high school diploma/GED, or 2 years of experience with a degree in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management Knowledge of pastry techniques, baking processes, and decorating methods Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain consistency in production Basic English communication skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment Must be at least 18 years old Valid Food Handler's Certificate required Must wear slip-resistant, enclosed footwear Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay 401(k) with employer match Medical, dental, and vision insurance Disability and life insurance options Employee discounts on resort amenities and travel Associate housing and shuttle services available Opportunities for career development and advancement About Horseshoe Bay Resort Horseshoe Bay Resort is a full-service destination offering professional growth opportunities within a high-performing culinary team.
