Head Baker/Pastry

Monti | Holladay, UT Monti is a new elevated fast-casual café focused on high-quality ingredients, thoughtful design, and a modern approach to café dining. Our menu features coffee, fresh food, and house-made baked goods designed to be both craveable and balanced. We are looking for a Head Baker to lead the development and execution of Monti's bakery program. This role will focus on recipe development, daily production, kitchen organization, and training staff to ensure consistency and quality. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both the creative side of baking and building efficient kitchen systems , and who wants to grow with a new concept as it expands. Responsibilities Develop and refine recipes for cookies, muffins, bars, healthy treats, and seasonal baked goods Oversee daily bakery production and ensure quality and consistency Organize kitchen workflows, prep systems, and standardized recipes Manage ingredient ordering and maintain inventory levels Train and support kitchen staff on baking techniques and production processes Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient baking environment Qualifications 2+ years experience in a bakery, pastry kitchen, or high-volume café Strong understanding of baking fundamentals and recipe development Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable creating systems Ability to train and lead a team Passion for quality ingredients and modern café baking What We Offer Opportunity to help build the bakery program for a new concept Creative input on menu development Growth opportunities as Monti expands to additional locations Competitive pay based on experience If you're passionate about baking and excited to help shape the bakery program of a growing café concept, we'd love to hear from you.
