Baker responsibilities may include bakeoff starting at 4 am, setting up the pastry case, cleaning dishes, mixing doughs, and shaping pastries. To be successful in this role, you should have a strong work ethic, great time management skills, and be able to work well on your own and with others. Responsibilities Bakeoff pastries Clean workstation and dishes throughout shift Accurately weigh ingredients, mix doughs, and shape pastries Communicate with kitchen team regarding workflow and equipment needs Maintain an organized work environment Skills Experience as a baker is preferred Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment, including mixers, ovens, and dough sheeter is preferred, but not required Understanding of food safety practices Excellent time-management skills Ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude Ability and enthusiasm to work early morning shifts and weekends Ability to lift 50 pounds as reloading ingredient bins is a requirement of the job Certification from a culinary school is a plus, but not required Schedule/Availability Must have weekend as well as holiday availability. Must have the ability to work a combination of AM and/or PM shifts on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday We are looking for someone that is able to take on 2 - 3 shifts a week to start, with flexibility to take on additional shifts to support our full-time staff.
