Job Description

Are you a morning person who likes to work hard and finish their in the early afternoon? Would you feel proud knowing you helped handcraft some of Burlington's best bread? If so, we might have a job for you! Great Harvest Bakery & Café is looking for a dynamic individual who is mature, happy, honest, friendly, hard-working, organized, detail-oriented, tidy, and a lot of fun! We are seeking someone special to join our team handcrafting phenomenal freshly baked bread and serving Burlington's kindest customers. Those with baking, farming, production, restaurant and/or hospitality experience are preferred but experience is not required. The right candidate will also be looking for a long-term position; the ability to commit to this job is desired and rewarded ( this is not a seasonal position ).
Specific requirements and responsibilities include:
Strong attention to detail, and basic math skills Operating a commercial oven to bake several loaves of beautifully delicious bread under time constraints Hand-kneading yeast-leavened dough and sourdough breads in a time-sensitive environment ( don't worry if you don't have experience here--we will train you! ) Lifting up to 60lbs. Standing for long periods of time Keeping clean, food-safe, and organized workspaces Outstanding hygiene and food safety skills Shifts are approximately 6:30am - 2:30pm, weekday and some weekend availability required. One full-time (five days) and one part-time (three to four days) positions are available. A positive work environment, lots of free bread, goodies, coffee by La Colombe, a shift meal, and days filled with good music and wonderful people are some of the benefits. 40 hours of paid time off each year and dental insurance, too!
